Wednesday 04 Dec

Toowoomba’s 鶹ý is proud to highlight its holistic approach to education, marked by a tailored curriculum and an exceptional Wellbeing Program. "Our curriculum is specifically designed to ignite students' interests from an early age, fostering a lifelong love for learning," explains Head of College Anton Prinsloo. “We aim to offer not just a learning environment but an environment where our students can truly grow.”

The recent results speak volumes. In 2023, 30% of students achieved an ATAR of 90 or above, with 56% scoring 85 or more. Concordia is committed to broadening educational paths, offering diverse career pathways from Health and Creative Arts to Trades like Plumbing and Carpentry.

"Education must be about more than imparting knowledge; it’s about creating a framework for lifelong learning and adaptability," Mr Prinsloo, said.

"At Concordia, we're committed to equipping our students not just for the jobs of today but for the careers of tomorrow that haven't yet been created."

One unique feature of Concordia's modern approach is the integration of Project-Based Learning (PBL). In this framework, students tackle real-world problems and learn through engaging projects, developing crucial skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity.

"PBL is about making education relevant and empowering students to apply what they learn in meaningful ways," said Mr Prinsloo. Classrooms are transformed into dynamic learning spaces where students collaborate on challenging projects.

鶹ý also places significant emphasis on student wellbeing. "Our Student Wellbeing Program is designed to support every student individually, ensuring that they not only excel academically but also socially and emotionally," Mr Prinsloo said.

Concordia also offers the innovative 'Preferred Futures' program, which allows students to pursue personalised learning projects. “It’s about helping students envision and work towards a preferred future, developing not just academic but life skills,” Mr Prinsloo added.

As Concordia continues to evolve and adapt to the needs of its students, the leadership team ensures that the college remains a nurturing ground for developing the potential of future generations, making it a perfect fit for families seeking comprehensive and caring education.

By integrating rigorous academics with a supportive community, 鶹ý is shaping the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.
